About Forest Lake Outfitters

Forest Lake Outfitters is a drive in, non-guided fishing camp located in a remote and pristine area of Northwestern Saskatchewan. The facility has been providing people with an affordable get away where they can plan their trip around their own budget since 1996. We have six lakes in our concession as well as the Clearwater River. Our guests have the option of staying in the cabins at the Forest Lake outpost camp or at the main camp on Beet Lake. The cabins on Beet Lake have all the amenities of home. While they both come furnished complete with cooking utensils, you will be responsible for bringing your own groceries, bedding, tackles, fishing gear and licenses. The boats, motors and fuel are included in our packages.

Forest Patterson, Beet and Naomi Lakes are all connected through a series of navigable channels. Lake Trout and Northern Pike can be caught in Forest and Patterson Lake; Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Walleye can be caught in Beet Lake and Northern Pike and Walleye can be caught in Namoni Lake. The Clearwater River will only be accessed with our jet boat now, and in it you can catch Grayling, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Vermeersch and Wickenkamp Lakes are only accessible by ATVS.  Vermeersch Lake has a great Northern Pike fishery and is a forty kilometer round trip beginning and ending at the Forest Lake outpost camp. Wickenkamp Lake has a fantastic Walleye fishery and is an eighty kilometer round trip that also starts and ends at the Forest Lake outpost camp. There are also other trails that we can give our guest access to during their stay with us.

We have a great fishery here and are asking for your help to maintain it by releasing the trophy fish and through improved fish handling techniques. If you decide to bring your own ATV up for the trip we want to remind you that you will be traveling in a remote and wild area that can be very unforgiving if you lose respect for it.

Doug and Bev Fersovitch

Bev and Doug are an energetic and adventurous couple who have spent a great deal of time in the outdoors. They well understand the comforts that a person enjoys after spending a full day outside hunting, fishing, trapping, jet boating or quading and they invite you to stay at one of their deluxe cabins at their lodge on Beet Lake.

If you prefer a more rustic experience, they can also provide you a cabin at their outpost camp on Forest Lake. Along with the fishing packages, there will also be argos and quads available if you would like to break things up and do a bit of exploring in some truly remote country.

However you decide to spend your trip, they will do their best to provide you with an enjoyable experience that will keep you coming back for years.
